Maxime Vachier Lagrave
Maxime Vachier-Lagrave was born on October 21, 1990, in Nogent-sur-Marne, France. He is one of the strongest French players in chess history and is especially known for his dynamic style, deep opening preparation and tactical skill.
Vachier-Lagrave became a Grandmaster in 2005 and quickly established himself among the top players in the world. Over the years, he won many important tournaments, including the Biel 2013, the Sinquefield Cup 2017 and the Norway Chess 2020.
He has faced the best players of his generation, including Magnus Carlsen, Fabiano Caruana and Levon Aronian. Maxime Vachier-Lagrave remains one of the leading players in international chess and one of the most successful French grandmasters of the modern era.
