In this course, GM Elisabeth Paehtz provides you with a full repertoire to play against the Sicilian Rossolimo.

The Rossolimo Attack (1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5) is an anti-Sicilian.

White immediately moves its light-squared Bishop to b5, attacking the Knight on c6, avoiding the preparation Black might have done of traditional Sicilian lines.

But fear not!

That is why having a repertoire to fight the Rossolimo Attack is so important.

Did you know that the Rossolimo is in fact the second most played line after 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6?

So, if you play the Sicilian, you are likely to face the annoying Rossolimo.

However, GM Paehtz has come up with a system that will not only help you catch your opponent off guard…

…but also create a solid position with the Black pieces

The opening chosen by GM Paehtz is a risk-free line, in which Black plays 3…e6, IM Paehtz will show you 5 different lines.

One of the lines you will learn was invented by GM Boris Gelfand in 2023 in a game against young prodigy GM Abhimanyu Mishra.

The move …Qc8 instead of the typical Qc7 is a move that avoids losing a tempo and simply helps the position (see below).

The lines that you will be presented with are all very active, striking out on the center and questioning White moves one by one right from the start.

She will analyze several games related to this opening.

One of the games analyzed by GM Paehtz is her win vs GM Alexandra Kosteniuk, which in words of Elisabeth herself was a very psychological win.

She also analyzes some of the novelties in this opening that will help you get an edge.

In fact, many of the lines analyzed have never been played at master level yet, but are part of GM Paehtz own original analysis, which you can use to your advantage.

Gm Paehtz recommends playing these lines first in training games before playing them on important in-person or online events.

With this course, you not only get access to the 8 hours of video, but also to Plus, you will get access to 665 trainable variations with the 365Chess Coach.

Rest assured that with this course you will start to better understand what to do and when, especially when you are in crucial moments of the game.
