About the Author
GM Fabien Libiszewski (peak rating 2547) has been a Grandmaster since 2009 and served as the captain of the French national team from 2016-2017. He acted as second with the team in both 2014-2015 and 2023. He also coached AnnMarie Muëtsch to a World Championship Under 16 victory in 2018. Additionally, GM Fabien LibiszewskI has guided three pupils to become junior French champions (U20), with one securing a silver medal in the European Championship U12. He has been a chess commentator for Eurosport, covering events like the World Chess Championship 2018 and the Grand Prix FIDE 2019, and has authored four chess books. His media presence extends to acting, with a role in the 2015 movie “Le tournoi” as Aurélien.
