Faustino Oro

Faustino Oro was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 14, 2013. He is one of the most promising young chess players in the world and became known internationally for his remarkable results at a very early age. Oro attracted wide attention with his rapid rise in rating and strong performances in important events. Among his notable appearances are the Tata Steel Challengers 2025, the Magistral Punta del Este 2025 and the Clash of Generations 2025 match against Viswanathan Anand. In 2024, he achieved the title of International Master, becoming one of the youngest players ever to do so. His career has already included games against elite opposition, and he is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents of his generation.
