Topalov wins Bilbao tournament

Veselin Topalov won his final game against Vassily Ivanchuk and advanced to number one in the world according to live rankings. Radjabov beat Aronian, letting Carlsen in second place.
The final standings are: Topalov 17pts, Carlsen 13pts, Aronian 13pts, Ivanchuk 12 pts, Radjabov 10pts and Anand 8pts.

Bilbao R8: Shocking round

Vassily Ivanchuk beated Radjabov. Aronian won his game against Anand after a terrible blunder commited by the World Champion. Topalov defeated Carlsen and now these are the positions: Topalov 13 pts, Aronian 12 pts, Carlsen and Ivanchuk 11 pts, Anand and Radjabov 6 pts.

Ivanchuk defeated Carlsen in a very sharp game and Aronian reborn from his two losses and scored a victory against Topalov. Radjabov and Anand ended their game with a draw.

Magnus Carlsen still leads the tournament with 11 points, Topalov 10 pts, Aronian 9 pts, Ivanchuk 6 pts, Anand and Radjabov 6 pts.

After 7 rounds the young chess star Magnus Carlsen leads the tournament. He defeated Aronian and caught the first position. Veselin Topalov, the former leader, is now in second place after a draw with Teimour Radjabov. The game Ivanchuk vs Anand finished with a draw too.
